Wild Goose–Meheen, together with Ska Brewing Company and Ska Fabricating, organized and hosted Craft After Dark, a live music charity concert and official nightly event at the 2018 Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America (CBC). Hundreds of CBC attendees filled a Nashville concert venue on May 3 to see alt-country band Old 97’s perform, with popular local Nashville band The Cordovas opening.
Entry was free to Craft Brewers Conference attendees. All proceeds from Event Sponsorships along with 100% of onsite sales of beer and cider provided by Beverage Sponsors were donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. In all, $14,456 was raised for the charity, which provides homeownership opportunities to families in need.
In addition to Ska Brewing, Ska Fabricating and Wild Goose–Meheen, sponsors of Craft After Dark included BountyBev, The Brewer Magazine, Chart, Inc., EcoVessel, Festo, Filtec, Markem-Imaje, Modular Conveyor Express and Pack Leader USA. Beverages were donated by Diskin Cider, Hap and Harry’s Tennessee Beer, Ska Brewing and Yee-Haw Brewing Company.
Craft After Dark continues in the place of We Can Jam, a charity concert first hosted by Wild Goose and Everybody’s Brewing in 2015. The events held in 2015 and 2016 raised a combined $25,000 for Athletes for Cancer and Cathedral Kitchen.
